The Alpine Pond Trail is spectacular in summer, with sweeping wildflower fields and towering spruce trees. Dixie National Forest also has some incredible points of interest, like the ancient Mammoth Caves that lead to one of the largest lava tubes in the state.

Southern Utah is home to The Mighty Five, iconic National Parks that offer unique landscapes and outdoor activities for all to enjoy. Just be sure to pack your patience and prepare to contend with high crowds and hot temperatures.

Ready to get your feet wet? Whitewater rafting is great in pre-summer, when melting snow from the mountains whip our rivers into thrilling whitecaps and dramatic drops. Paddle-boarding is also popular, and our many alpine lakes offer scenic spots for swimming, kayaking, boating and more. You can even rent a cabin on the shores of Panguitch Lake to enjoy prime trout fishing and other lakeside luxuries.
